At Lynx Beauty Lounge, your safety and satisfaction are our priority. By booking an appointment, you agree to the following policies.
Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for:

Providing accurate and complete health, allergy, medication, and skin information before every appointment.

Informing us of any changes to their health, medications, pregnancy status, or skin conditions.

Following all pre-care and aftercare instructions.

Arriving on time and prepared for their appointment.
Failure to disclose medical information or follow pre-care and aftercare instructions may affect your results and may result in your appointment being modified, postponed, or cancelled.
Medications & Contraindications
Certain medications and skincare products may make treatments unsafe or unsuitable.
If you use Accutane (Isotretinoin), prescription retinoids, Retin-A, Tretinoin, adapalene, strong exfoliating acids, or other contraindicated medications or creams, some services may need to be postponed or cancelled for your safety.

Service Requirements
Lash Extensions

Arrive with clean lashes free of mascara, makeup, oils, or strip lashes.

Remove contact lenses before your appointment if recommended.

Fills require the minimum lash retention outlined in our Lash Extension Policy.
Lash Lift & Brow Lamination

Avoid waterproof mascara and eye makeup on the day of your appointment.

Do not use lash growth serums unless advised they are safe for treatment.
Waxing
-
Hair must be at least the length of a grain of rice (approximately ¼ inch / 6 mm) for proper removal.

Skin must be free of cuts, irritation, sunburn, or active infections.

Clients using Accutane, prescription retinoids, or other contraindicated products may not be eligible for waxing.
Facials
-
Arrive with a clean face whenever possible.
-
Avoid excessive sun exposure and harsh exfoliation before your appointment.

Inform us of any skin sensitivities, allergies, or recent cosmetic treatments.
Dermaplaning
-
Do not use retinol, Retin-A, prescription acne products, or exfoliating acids for at least 48 hours before your appointment (or as directed).

Treatment cannot be performed over active acne, open wounds, sunburn, or irritated skin.
Cosmetic Microneedling

Cosmetic microneedling is performed for cosmetic purposes only and does not treat or diagnose medical conditions.

Do not use Accutane, prescription retinoids, Retin-A, Tretinoin, adapalene, or other contraindicated medications or skincare products before treatment as advised.

Treatment cannot be performed on active acne, cold sores, skin infections, open wounds, sunburned skin, or irritated skin.

Please arrive with clean skin free of makeup, sunscreen, lotions, and self-tanner.

Following all aftercare instructions is essential for proper healing and results. Failure to follow aftercare may increase the risk of irritation, infection, pigmentation changes, delayed healing, or unsatisfactory results.

Multiple treatments may be required to achieve desired cosmetic results, and results cannot be guaranteed.
Teeth Whitening

Teeth and gums should be healthy before treatment.

Clients with severe tooth sensitivity, untreated dental conditions, or certain oral health concerns may not be suitable candidates.
Spray Tanning
-
Arrive with clean skin free of lotions, oils, deodorant, perfume, and makeup.

Exfoliate before your appointment.
-
Wear loose, dark clothing after your tan.
Aftercare
Following all aftercare instructions is essential for proper healing, retention, and results.
Lynx Beauty Lounge is not responsible for reduced results, poor retention, irritation, or complications caused by failure to follow aftercare instructions.
Right to Refuse Service
Lynx Beauty Lounge reserves the right to refuse, modify, postpone, or discontinue any service if:

Treatment is considered unsafe.

Required health information has not been disclosed.

Pre-care instructions have not been followed.
-
A client appears ill or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

A client displays abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour.
-
The requested service is outside our scope of practice.
Applicable cancellation fees may apply if an appointment cannot proceed due to undisclosed contraindications or failure to follow required preparation.
Results & Liability
Results vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed. All beauty services carry inherent risks, including allergic reactions, irritation, infection, burns, bruising, or unsatisfactory results.
By receiving treatment, you acknowledge these risks and release Lynx Beauty Lounge from liability except where required by law.

By booking an appointment or receiving services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this General Service Policy.
